Announcements

Thank you to everyone for making
this a successful season!
The registration for next season
will be in mid-November.

Please adhere to the "Zero Tolerance Policy" adopted by the Dunlap Recreation Association at all practices and games.  Good sportsmanship is expected from all players, fans, and coaches at all times.  Remember that all coaches, referees, and scorekeepers are volunteers, without whom we would not have a girls program.  Thank you for your cooperation.

House League
_________________

The house league is open to all girls in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades,
residing in the Dunlap school district.
___________________________________

Playing time will be divided evenly.
The house league is an instructional league,
and the volunteer coaches also referee the games that
their team is not playing.

Practices will be scheduled by each coach, at various gyms
within our school district, starting in early December.
Practices and games will be inter-mixed this year.

**     Please remember that the coaches/referees have been
instructed to be lenient concerning rules violations.
This is a house league, as instruction is also a main focus.
Fouls will be called, and the reasoning for the foul call
will also be given by the referee and coach.

RULES
________________

*Each game will consist of (4) six minute quarters.
* One timeout per quarter for each team.
*Girls will play the entire quarter, with no substitutions, except for injury.
* Playing time will be divided evenly.
* Girl-to-girl defense only.  No zone defense allowed.
However, inside the free throw lane, double-teaming will be allowed.
No defense until the top of the free throw circle,
as this will allow for easier dribbling opportunities.
* The third quarter will be for the younger girls only.
* No jewelry is allowed during practices or games.
If earrings cannot be removed, please cover
with a Band-Aid or tape.
* Please contact your coach if your daughter is unable
to attend a game or practice.

** If the Dunlap School District cancels school or dismisses early
due to inclement weather, then any practice or game
scheduled for that evening is also cancelled.

Thank you for allowing your daughter to participate.
Every effort will be made to make this a fun and enjoyable season!
